Community Event Sales Associates Are Responsible For:
- Proactively engage with community members to introduce Lifeline services with warmth and clarity at local events and partnered retailers
- Identify eligible residents through strategic canvassing, outreach, and event participation
- Conduct one-on-one conversations to guide individuals through sales enrollment steps and resolve questions or concerns
- Accurately collect and verify customer documentation in accordance with Lifeline requirements
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales applications, and progress using mobile or web-based tools
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve outreach strategies and sales enrollment success rates
- Represent the organization professionally at community hubs, pop-up booths, or neighborhood campaigns
- Act as a local ambassador for digital inclusion, helping bridge the gap for underserved communities
Community Event Sales Associates Need To Have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an outgoing, people-first attitude
- Self-motivation and a go-getter spirit; thrives with minimal supervision and clear goals
- Prior experience in sales, outreach, or community engagement is a plus (but not required!)
- Ability to adapt on-the-fly and think creatively in dynamic, outdoor environments
- Basic tech skills, including using tablets, mobile devices, or CRM systems
- Professionalism, reliability, and integrity when handling sensitive customer information
- A deep sense of empathy and cultural sensitivity - especially in diverse community settings
- Bilingual abilities are a bonus, making it easier to reach and relate to more people
